The Matanzas High School cheer program had an eventful weekend hosted by UCA at Embry Riddle University.

Our Matanzas Varsity stunt group won the Strongest Woman contest, beating out 11 other groups for holding their extension the longest! Way to go Trinity Defalco (back spot), Raquel Torrao (flyer), Alyssa Waldmann (base), & Jenna Payavis (base) 💙📣💪🏽

Senior Darrionna Steward made it to the finals in the jump off! 🏆📣

Madison Asbill earned the Prestigious ”Pin it forward” award. This award is about having good character, dedication, and being an overall stand out leader. 🎖💙

JV Cheerleaders Lauren Orlando and Chasey Pannell won All-American with the opportunity to cheer in the Disney Christmas Parade. 💙📣🥇🏰

Varsity Cheerleaders Alessandra Robinson, Madison Asbill, & Mar Figueroa were also awarded All-American with the opportunity to cheer in the London New Year’s parade. 💙📣🥇✈️

Both JV & Varsity won 1st in their Rally Routine! ☝️📣

The real win was having some of our Football players, their Head Coach Don Mathews and all the family, friends and alumni come cheer us on the last day!!! We appreciate your support! #PirateNation 💙🏴☠️
